As easy as it gets

Activate: scrunch the wrap briefly – the warmth of your hands softens the wax.
Wrap: place the wrap around your food or over the bowl.
Seal: press the edges down firmly with warm hands – the wrap sticks to itself and to smooth surfaces.
Reuse: after use, rinse with cool water, hang up to dry – ready for the next round.

Care and important notes

Clean with cold to lukewarm water and a mild, eco-friendly washing-up liquid. Water above 60 °C melts the wax.
Do not put in the dishwasher, oven or microwave.
For hygiene reasons, do not wrap raw meat, fish or egg directly.
Store in a dry place, for example in the drawer with your tea towels.
Tip: tired wraps can be refreshed – 2 to 3 minutes in the oven at 140 °C, hang up, let dry briefly: good as new.

How do beeswax wraps work?

Beeswax is naturally water-resistant, antibacterial and breathable at the same time. With the warmth of your hands, the wrap moulds itself around food or containers and forms a protective seal: moisture and flavour are preserved, and your food stays fresh for longer.

What can I use the wraps for?

Almost anywhere you would otherwise reach for cling film: covering bowls and plates, wrapping bread, cheese, fruit and vegetables, packing snacks for school, the office or a picnic. They are also handy when travelling, for example for shampoo bars or soap.

My wraps don't stick properly – what can I do?

In cooler regions like Europe, the wax can be firm at first. Knead the wrap firmly a few times or warm it briefly between your hands – it will soften and stick much better. Important: the surface, such as the rim of the bowl, needs to be dry too.

Can I freeze beeswax wraps?

Yes! The wraps can be frozen and thawed many times – ideal for bread, cut fruit or leftover vegetables. Since they are breathable, we recommend using frozen food within a month.

Can I wrap meat, fish or eggs?

No. Because the wraps can only be cleaned with cold to lukewarm water, they are not suitable for raw meat, raw fish or eggs for hygiene reasons.

How do I clean the wraps?

Just like a plate: wipe with a sponge or cloth, cool water and a little mild washing-up liquid, rinse and let air-dry.

How long do the wraps last?

With proper care, up to two years. Store them in a dry place between uses, for example in a basket or in the drawer with your tea towels.

Are the wraps compostable?

Yes! At the end of their life, simply cut the wraps into thin strips and add them to your home compost or organic waste bin. Before you do, try the refresh trick from the care notes – they are often far from finished.

Do the wraps have a smell?

Freshly unpacked, they have a pleasant beeswax scent. The scent is completely natural, does not transfer to food and fades over time.

Why aren't the edges perfectly straight?
