Why being a B Corp matters

Being a B Corp means being part of a movement that is redefining how the world does business — building an economy that is inclusive and sustainable for people and planet alike. It also means committing to honestly assess and improve the company, again and again.

SuperBee’s B Corp journey

From the very first beeswax wrap made in Antoinette’s kitchen to the global eco-store SuperBee is today, the goal has stayed the same: protect the environment and create sustainable living solutions that benefit customers, communities and future generations — read the full story here.

In April 2023, after a rigorous assessment of mission, values and standards, SuperBee officially became a certified B Corp — scoring 81.7. The process took two years. It makes sure the walk matches the talk — and commits the company to keep improving its business practices.

How does SuperBee do it?

The circular economy alone doesn’t cover the social side of a sustainable business — which is why SuperBee follows its own “Infinity Economy” model. A few examples of how business becomes a force for good:

Environmental responsibility

Designing and operating with one goal: protect and improve the world around us — with innovative answers to pollution and eco-products that help avoid plastic waste.

Empowerment

Women’s empowerment, job creation in rural areas and wages 20% higher than the Fair Trade Association’s recommended living wage — plus support for the team to live more plastic-free themselves.

Partnerships

SuperBee only works with people and businesses that share its values — partners with the courage to follow ethical practices instead of harmful industry norms.

Family

A family-run business with a safe, supportive work environment — family-friendly policies that particularly help parents and single caregivers.

Sharing

Profits and products also go to initiatives that promote love and kindness for the planet and its people — plus microfinance projects for employees and their families.
